The Tennessee Art League was organized in 1954 as a
nonprofit organization in the State of Tennessee. The
primary mission of the TAL is to assist local visual
artists by providing gallery space, workshops, and
educational programs. In addition, the League endeavors
to enrich the community by providing professional artist
materials to schools, teaching art in community centers,
senior centers and homeless shelters.
For the Community
Providing educational opportunities and outreach to the
community has always been an important part of the
mission of TAL.
Some of our programs include: Partnering with Metro
Nashville schools to provide professional artists
teaching "At-Risk"
youth in underserved schools.
The TAL donates professional artist materials and
donates two months of our galleries to a Metro Schools
Art Exhibition.
